ACCOUNTANT/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT POSITION AVAILABLE

Sentinel manufactures premium quality southern yellow pine CCA-treated agricultural fence posts of varying sizes to fit customer needs. We service dealers in 10 Mid-Western states from our plant in Calico Rock, Arkansas. We also specialize in building cattle feeders and portable buildings for local deliveries. We also operate a raw material concentration yard at Tumbling Shoals, AR.(Heber Springs, AR.) We have been in business since 19S7 and continue to build on our experience and expertise in these fields to fuel continued growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise and/or perform all duties relating to the administrative functions of a small business corporate office including:

  1. All daily bookkeeping records and reports.
  2. Managing all payroll functions
    1. Weekly payroll
    2. Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Reports
  3. Assist Ceo in obtaining and maintaining all necessary insurance coverage(work comp, liability, fire)
  4. Assist Ceo in managing employee benefits (health insurance, retirement, holidays, sick leave, vacation, personal).
  5. Assist in maintain and filing all other required government reports
  6. Maintain all corporate stockholder reports.
  7. Assist in all other duties as needed by the Ceo.
  8. Assist Ceo in assuring compliance with all government regulating agencies including environmental and safety. EPA OSHA DEQ

Education and experience:

  1. Experience in double entry bookI‹eeping.
  2. Experience in office administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the Manager involving all duties concerning the operation of a small manufacturing plant including

  1. Taking orders from customers and responding to their needs.
  2. Supervise employees as directed by the General Manager.
  3. Keep adequate records to assure excellent equipment maintenance and repair.
  4. Assist manager in purchasing raw materials necessary for manufacturing.
  5. Assist manager in assuring compliance with all government regulating agencies including environmental and safety. EPA OSHA ADEE

Education and experience:

  1. Minimum 3 years' experience in management or comparable supervisory level experience.
  2. Minimum 3 years' experience in equipment maintenance or supervision of equipment maintenance.
  3. Valid Drivers License with acceptable record to meet insurance qualifications.
  4. Able to operate rough terrain forklift and 1 ton truck w/goosenecl‹ trailer.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Able to lift more than 40 lbs
  2. Able to move freely on an outdoor non-paved (gravel) worming surface.
